Maruti Swift Has Once Again Showed Its Class

Image result for maruti swift

Maruti Suzuki Swift has once again showed its class with 1, 08,000 units of the new Swift already being booked. This is highest pre sales booking figure for any car in India till date.

The company in spite of internal turmoil at the Manesar plant has taken stock of situation with a capacity of over 700 cars a day, as a combined capacity of its two plants. However, the efforts do seem to do very little for the long waiting period of about five months for the petrol version.

Maruti Swift, the new version might fool you as if there is nothing different but wait till you see the inside. The new version has some radical changes in the interiors, instrument console and also has a small yet very critical additional space at the back seat. The space at the rear seat is a result of competition and Suzuki has done well to increase the rear seat space which has been done at the cost of cargo space in the hatch.

One problem though might still bother you at least in the Indian version is that the flood lights still have a lot left to be desired in terms of the quality. The Maruti Swift should have had the headlights with the new technologies available. The low quality lights do require a bit of eye straining especially while driving during the night. However other safety aspects seem to have moved a notch higher. It has all the basic safety systems from gen next airbags to braking circuits and lots of small tweaks to ensure that your driving is not only smooth but also safe.

All said and done the new Swift does live up to its old reputation and the proof of this is the already record bookings of up to 100000. Surely Maruti still knows the Indian consumer well then anybody and has kept all the main ingredients of a successful car intact for the new Swift as well. This is really commendable in spite of a number of competitors namely Hyundai i10, Hyundai i20, Ford Figo, Volkswagen Polo and Nissan Micra.

Image result for BMW X6

Honda Amaze Sedan Review Price and Specifications

Image result for honda amaze
Honda Amaze alias Honda Brio Sedan is expected to be launched in 2013 – 2014. The most excited part about the launch of the Amaze is the 1.5 litre of i-DTEC diesel engine. Unlike the Fiat derived Multijet engines, the Honda i-DTEC mill has a linear power and torque delivery. We don’t see much difference in the interior layout of the Honda Amaze and the Brio. It is one flowingly elegant design which makes style standout in a most elegant manner.

Image result for honda amaze

It will be the same dark brown dashboard with a protruding 2DIN music system. The Amaze will first be launched in Thailand on Friday. The Amaze is basically the Brio hatchback with a boot, just as the Swift & Dzire, Vista & Manza and Polo & Vento.

Image result for honda amaze

The 1.5-litre diesel engine will deliver a deadly combo of great mileage and be high on power as well. From the teaser images, it is clear that Honda seems to have been inspired from the add-on boot formula ripped off from the Tata Indigo Manza eCS and the Maruti Swift Dzire.

This means Honda will look to remove the only chink in its armor, the lack of diesel engines. For a country where diesel cars are a rage and given the sky-high prices of petrol, this move from the Japanese car manufacturer will help boost its sales manifold. While the boot won’t be very large, expect it to be in the region of 300-350 litres.

The Honda Brio sedan specifications stands at 3,990mm overall length and 2,407mm wheelbase, which puts this car longer by 380mm and 62mm compared with the hatchback edition. The 1,680mm width and 1,485mm height are the same as the previous edition though. Expect the manual gearbox petrol version of the Brio sedan to be priced between Rs 5 and Rs 6.5 lakh.

Rest of the interiors will remain more or less the same as the Brio hatchback, although Honda might just play around a bit with the colors to distinguish both the cars. Naturally Honda has tweaked the suspension of the vehicle to take the additional weight and one can expect the Brio sedan to offer a good balance of ride and handling.

Hyundai Elantra Diesel Review Price and Specifications

Image result for hyundai elantra
Hyundai Elantra Diesel at Rs 15.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) with a diesel engine and an automatic transmission is the most expensive variant of the Elantra. However it also lives upto this high price tag with arguably some of the best features.

Image result for hyundai elantra engine

The new diesel engine delivers 126bhp with a 1.6-litre turbo-diesel ripped off from the Hyundai Verna. The six-speed, torque-converter automatic gearbox comes off quite well in terms of the performance and torque. If you are not in a hurry, you can really see that the gearbox works well enough to keep you in the right gear at all speeds. The Elantra is quite peppy and even the half presses on the throttle gives you that adrenaline rush. However beware of the slight hesitation from either the engine or gearbox in stop-start traffic and a bit of power crisis on the highway.

Image result for hyundai elantra interior
However once you hit the throttle down, you come to know that all is not well with this diesel power train. The power delivery is not all that smooth and the engine starts to rattle at 2000rpm. The gearbox stutters to this sudden outburst of power and does not respond the way you want it to. Compared to the dual-clutch gearboxes of the Volkswagen Jetta and Skoda Laura this comes as a bit of a cropper.

However as a huge relief, you can the shift gears manually in tiptronic mode for better control, but you have to manage without the paddle shifters. With a slow mark of 10.92 seconds to hit the 0-100kph time it is a full 1.2 seconds off the Skoda Laura automatic.

Overall, the Hyundai Elantra is good for those who want to enjoy their rides. Not to forget the overly-assisted power steering, well-finished cabin and rear seats. Good to drive in traffic, fairly fuel efficient with 11.2kpl in the city, and packed with features, this version of the Elantra meets the needs of most self-driven executive car buyers. If you are not in awe of the Elantra you can also consider the likes of Honda Civic and the Toyota Corolla Altis.

Makkhi Alias Eega Movie Review

Image result for eegaImage result for eega

Makkhi alias Eega has started its buzz around the globe from 6th July 2012. The buzz is now shaking the bollywood box office; the most awaited Makkhi alias eega is now making its sound all around the country. The movie is all about unexpressed Love, Untamed Lust, Murderous Jealousy, Rebirth and Revenge. The film has also dubbed into Malayalam as Eecha and now into Hindi as Makkhi.

The movie begins with a simple love story between Samantha and Nani, where Rajamouli has started with the flavors of fun and comic. Everything goes same like any other love story until the entry of Sudeep(Villain)who creates the obstacle in the movie. Sudeep who is well known as Kiccha has played a negative role for the first time in a Telugu movie.

In the movie, Sudeep is a big business magnet who has lust on Samantha (Bindu). Samantha is a micro metal maker and she runs an aided children orphanage. Once she meets Sudeep to get donation for her orphanage Sudeep gets attracted to her and starts to make love with her but he does not know that she is in love with Nani. Sudeep thinks if he murders Nani, his love track will be clear and so he murders Nani.

But the unexpected twist and the Makkhi alias Eega(Fly)Buzz starts from here. Nani takes rebirth as Makkhi alias Eega(Fly) and takes revenge on Sudeep. The way Makkhi alias Eega(fly)gives hints to Sudeep and Samatha, that it is actually Nani is the most exciting part in the movie. Viewers will stick to their chairs in the theatre with excitement.

S.S.Rajamouli has once again proved that he is the best director in the tollywood. After giving hits like Maghadeera, people started thinking will he be able to give a better movie than Maghadeera? If you have the same question in your mind then Makkhi alias Eega is the best answer for it. M.M.Keeravaani has given an average music, the costumes used in the movies shows the efforts of Rama Rajamouli. Makuta VFX Team has given their best on graphics and technical aspects.

We generally think how an Makkhi alias Eega(Fly) can harm a people. But after watching the movie, you will withdraw your statement making you to believe that an Makkhi a.k.a Eega(Fly) can also take revenge. Only Rajamouli could have handled it, and he has handled it brilliantly. For Sudeep, Makkhi a.k.a Eega is the best movie in his career; he acted with just the imagination of a bug in front of him which is the most difficult part in acting.

Overall you will not have guilt of wasting your money. Watch and enjoy.

Maruti Ertiga the new MPV

Image result for ertiga

Maruti Ertiga is all set give some stiff competition to the likes of Toyota Innova in January. The company is now ready to set foot in the multipurpose vehicle (MPV) segment, for the first time. The company is now looking to spread its business across the entire length and breadth of the car market and ensure that not even a single area remains untargeted by the leader in the auto car market.

Maruti has the distinction of being India's largest car maker. In fact the company sells every second car in the country has decided not to rest on its past laurels and is all set to very soon unwrap its first MPV, the Ertiga. This invariably lead to a serious threat in the already existing car brands in the segment. Ertiga made its debut in India with a huge platform in the form of Auto Expo. and at that time the Ertiga was showcased as the RIII concept.

The seven-seater multi utility vehicle has been brought to the Indian market, with the purpose of serving the buyers' demand for a vehicle having a larger wheel base and increased stance. As a result, the MPV can easily be used as a family car, which can be purchased at an affordable price tag of around Rs. 6 lacs to Rs. 9 lacs. Company sources confirmed that the affordability factor of the MPV Ertiga would remain intact, however further details were kept under covers.

The Ertiga has the dimensions of a standard mini MPV with 4.2 metre length and 2740 mm wheelbase. Light weight materials contribute majorly in giving the interiors a more luxury look.

“The Ertiga won’t have Innova-levels of space, but middle and last-row occupants will get roof-mounted AC vents from improved cooling. Engine options will include the popular 1.3 litre Variable Geometry Turbo diesel from the SX4. Suzuki will also debut its latest and largest engine from the K-series family on the MPV called the K14, this 1372 cc VVT engine delivers a decent 95 bhp,” AutoCar said.

The MPV is expected to compete with the likes of other MPV like Chevrolet Tavera, Tata Sumo Victa, and Mahindra Bolero, Mahindra Scorpio.

Mitsubishi Compact Car is the Next Evolution

Image result for mitsubishi compact car

Mitsubishi Motors, could probably succumb to evolution in the small car segment in India and if all goes well as planned by the Japanese car manufacturer Mitsubishi Motors could well roll out its own small car. If rumors are to be believed then the company is already planning to bring in a small car for the India market. The new evolution small car will be rolled from its Thailand plant worldwide and is expected to lock horns with the likes of Volkswagen Polo, Fiat Punto, Maruti Ritz, Hyundai i10 and Nissan Micra in India.

The South Asian plant of the company is expected to dole out up to 2 lakh units annually. However, the exact production figures will depend on the demand for the small cars in the up coming car markets. The car is expected to come with a engine capacity of 1.0L to 1.2 L for the hatchback.

This development comes close on the heels of the company’s launch of a new Hindustan Motors-Mitsubishi dealership under the sponsorship of BMS Motors. This increases the dealership number in the country to 41. This new dealership is the second such start up in Andhra Pradesh, the former was launched in Vijayawada by BMS Motors. The first BMS Motors showroom in Ranigunj, Secunderabad, was thrown open to the public by Mr. Ashish Kaul, HM-Mitsubishi’s Head of Sales and Channel Expansion. The service station at Phoolbagh in Old Bowenpally was opened by Mr. Rajeshwar Prasad, HM-Mitsubishi’s Head of Service and Spare Parts. This clearly goes to show that the company is not only interested in the premium market but also looking to expand its wing to end consumer in terms of low cast cars and other auto related services .

The new development is clearly a paradigm shift from Mitsubishi’s offerings of high performance cars in India including Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, Mitsubishi Pajero, Mitsubishi Outlander and Mitsubishi Montero.

Hyundai Eon Car Secrets Revealed

Image result for hyundai eon

Hyundai Eon brochure has been leaked and from the looks of it, in this diwali season we could well be in for a big dhamaka with the likes of Maruti Alto F8D and the K10. The Maruti Alto has been ruling the sales charts for quite some time now in the Indian market with sales of over 20,000 units every month until now.

The Alto’s combo of reliability, cost efficiency, good mileage, a simple design and Maruti’s expertise dealership network across the entire country has been able to give tremendous reach in sales and service. Times do change and this time Hyundai Eon is all set to stir up the storm.

Considering Hyundai India manages to get the pricing of the Eon just right with market speculations being around price tag of 2.5 Lakh for entry level Eon, the Alto could very well have met its nemesis.

The Hyundai Eon gets its cuts and curvy exterior design from the Hyundai’s Fluidic design philosophy that seems to be the in vogue fashion these days with the company and also the fluid design looks much more contemporary than that of the aging Maruti Alto.

The Interiors are way ahead of its other contemporaries at least that is what we get from the latest leaks. The best part also flows onto the mileage of the car which is also more efficient than the Alto in terms of the road run. The ARAI certifies the Hyundai Eon’s mileage at 21.1 KMPL.

The best part just does not seem to end here. The car also has an 814 cc three cylinder petrol engine with a maximum of 55 bhp and 76.5 Nm of top torque. These figures easily surpass the Alto by 15% on paper as of now. The Hyundai Eon is expected to be just priced below the Hyundai Santro Xing.

So what is in favour of the Maruti? The only cause of concern for the Hyundai would be to replicate or even come close to the huge network of Maruti sales and service outlets in India. Maruti’s thirty year dominance still does have a few tricks up its sleeve.

Hyundai has recently been making some inroads into the tier 2 and 3 cities of India and town with standalone dealerships for selling entry level cars like the Hyundai Eon and the Santro Xing.

It all comes down to the actual sales and services and will finally decide who is the winner in the Maruti Suzuki versus Hyundai battle? The dhamaka is all set to begin on the October 13th, 2011, when the Hyundai Eon will be launched in India.

Hyundai Eon Car to Hit the Indian Markets Ahead of Diwali

Image result for HYUNDAI EON

Hyundai Eon is ready for a no holds barred contest against some of the best sellers like the Maruti Suzuki Alto. The small car is expected to be priced at below Rs. 3 lakh. The car is expected to surprise the audience with the launch speculated to be ahead of Diwali from the 10th of October to 15th of October. To be more precise the car is expected to be available at a price of 2.5 lakhs.

The Eon will be an entry level variant in the compact car segment. It is expected to be a spacious car as well with large leg space. The car is equipped with an 814 cc engine with a mileage of over 20 km per litre.

Inspired from the Santro platform the Eon is expected to have a lot parts from the Santro as well as the i10. Apart from Hyundai even other car makers are expected to pitch in with their small cars. The Tata Motors is expected to come with an advanced version of the Nano and the Indica. Volkswagen’s UP! has also made its intentions clear by making its debut at the world auto show in Germany. Ford buoyed by the success of the Figo is also expected to come up with another compact car which will be priced below the Figo.

The auto sales seem to have been a bit sluggish with rising interest rates and fuel prices. This phenomenon though seems to have little effect on the sales of small cars which are still going very strong.

"There is no car that is comparable with Eon. Yes, it is an entry-level car but with no compromise. It is a very spacious car with a large boot - something that you get only in bigger cars. And most importantly it doesn't compromise on style," said Arvind Saxena, Hyundai India sales & marketing director.

The Hyundai Eon dimensions are expected to be 75mm wider and 40mm taller than the Alto, while being similar in length at 3.5 meters.
