Truth on Lynching In India - Headed Debate Sadhguru at IIM

I m really happy we are discussing this without emotions.
A large crime is going on, Get the big picture.

4 million cattles, cows don't fly, they have to be walked or transported.

Only small are transported, across country such a large crime is happening, there will be reaction. It is only reported now, but it is always happening.

Cattle lynch is just one part of bigger problem.

Unfortunately this is how things are sorted in our country.
But in US police arrives in 3-4 minutes, fully armed.
Here one lathi ridden police on cycle comes, imagine should we go on accusing i did it, you did it or find the solution..

As i said you are free to disagree the proofs.

So are you saying only 42 lynching happened.
All of them are coz of cow.

Anyway if it is so, he says if police reach anywhere in India in 3-4, lynching can hugely be eradicated in India.

He's telling lynching for cow is just one reason. He just explained why people lynch for cow smuggling.

He's a human, if you feel his solution is not upto mark, ignore him.

Bro, first we need to prove if all lynching in india is becoz of cow in India.

Lynching in India, (60 percent in India is village, try calling a cop in a village, see how fast they come) is law and order issue.

Lynching always existed.
Sooner or later it had to come to our notice. That's all.

Please show all lynching in India is only coz of cow.

I will agree with you...first prove lynching is purely because of people carrying beef.

Like these lynching for communal reasons, cow, mob justice-public rage, theft, love affairs/honour killing, witch hunting many reasons are there.

Yes i see your point is that you are seeing a PATTERN/Trend that lynching is coz of cow, beef, communal hatred but how do you stop it. If police can reach anyplace in their jurisdiction within 3-4 min, then lynching can be eradicated...forget if its for cow, kidnapping or theft...

See the solution, anyone can offer. Sadhguru was asked, he gave a good solution...offcourse you can suggest a better solution as well.

But its unfortunate that a simple issue like how to control lynching we brought in cow, communal things, etc...

See its like this if in India imagine if all become followers of Islam like Pakistan. Are you saying lynching will not happen.

It will not be cow or religion lynching but it will happen for some other issue based on the society.

So lynching will happen if no law and order is there. If police can reach anyplace in their jurisdiction within 3-4 min, then lynching can be eradicated...

But no matter what religion or culture the country has, can solution of the police reaching in 3-4 min be implemented...

Yes it can be...if all people file PIL, make agitation, its not a big deal.

If a pizza can be delivered in minutes, if we are serious we can ask for a law where cops should reach in 5 min from their jurisdiction.

Isnt it possible, think...

Imagine in India if people know cops will arrive in 3-4 min...then you see how lynching will come down just like that...

Here are facts on cow smuggling:
As of October 2017.
5.32 lakh heads of cattle valued at about ₹350 crore have been seized since 2014.

Seized, meaning it is proven. Hope this proof you believe. Its shared in Hindu Newspaper.

Look at guts, to smuggle cattle, they will kill soldiers, show how big/strong cattle smuggling is.

Two Border Security Force (BSF) personnel have been killed, allegedly by cattle smugglers along the India-Bangladesh border, over the past two months. Tushar Kanti Das died on September 14 at an outpost near Angrail in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district, while Dipak Modal from the Tripura Frontier BSF succumbed to injuries he sustained in an attack on October 16.

So now even defence people are lying...

Answers tabled by the Home Ministry on March 28, 2017, in response to questions raised by Members of Parliament in the Lok Sabha, revealed that 1,09,999 heads of cattle were seized in 2014, 1,53,602in 2015 and 1,68,801 in 2016.

For the first nine months of 2017, till September 30, 99,744 heads of cattle were seized along this border. Senior officials of the BSF said that the numbers for all of 2017 may be somewhere between 1.3 lakh to 1.4 lakh heads of cattle seized.

Along the SBF- South Bengal Frontier alone, over 3.25 lakh units of cattle valued at ₹200 crore have been seized since 2014.

Of the 1,09,999 heads of cattle seized in 2014, 1,01,751 (about 92%) were from the BSF’s South Bengal Frontier (SBF).

If i share Human Trafficking numbers as per the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), the ministry of home affairs wing that collates annual data on crime in the country.

As many as 8,132 cases of human trafficking were reported across India.

Crime against children

Crimes against children have gone up by a whopping 13 per cent, from 94,172 in 2015 to 1,06,958 in 2016. While kidnapping and abduction accounted for 52.3 per cent of the cases, cases under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO) were at a worrying 34.4 per cent.

Atrocities/crime against SCs went up by 5.5 per cent in 2016 (40,801) over 2015 (38,670).

Rape cases have reported an increase of 12.4 per cent from 34,651 cases in 2015 to 38,947 in 2016.

Crime against women

Cases under "crime against women" category reported an increase of 2.9 per cent in 2016 over 2015. Majority of these cases “cruelty by husband or his relatives” (32.6 per cent) followed by “assault on women with intent to outrage her modesty" (25.0 per cent), “kidnaping and abduction of women” (19.0 per cent) whic includes “rape” mentioned above (11.5 per cent).

JUVENILE CRIMES

Cases of juveniles in conflict with the law have gone up again after a dip of 13.1 per cent was registered in 2015 over 2014. In 2016, 35,849 such cases were registered, an increase of 7.2 per cent over the 33,433 cases of 2015.

What about those crimes list i have not reported. Plus i have shared only few law and order issues.

What is the pattern you see.
India has always had a law and order issue.

Its not only cow or only communal hatred.

So now are you saying cow smuggling and communal hatred is only lynching happening in India and BJP is behind this.

What about all other crimes as well.

BJP is encouraging Crime also, lynching also and Sadhguru is part of this.

Please provide better reasons.

Dont blame any political party firstly for people who committ crimes and second again people doing lynching.

What has BJP, Congress got to do with this. May be one or two places it happens because of caste domination in that area.

But understand the issue. Iam a Hindu, If i shout in a muslim area, that a muslim shopkeeper person cheated me will all muslims attack me.
Similarly, if you goto a hindu market, a hindu shop keeper cheated you, you shout. Will all hit you...just like that.

Trust me if today people kill each other also, people wont bother. Because its personal issue.

Good/Bad people only get together if there is a common problem, obstacle.

Most of us dont know who lives in our streets only. Be it village or city.

Lynching cannot be made to happen. People are not fools to get into legal issue KNOWINGLY.

Lynching just happens on the SPUR OF MOMENT.

People are also not fools to simply attack, especially another religion person. They know where the problem can end up.Yes mistakes happen sometimes.

But tell me how often you fought with a hindu compared to a Muslim.

See lynching is a frustration because of law and order and rumours, tension.

Don't connect only two causes.

Dont believe Media.
Dont believe anyone, not even ME.
