Hi let us not jump into any conclusions, its ok even if ur ill. Illness is a sign that your body needs attention. So first find out why your nose is getting blocked.
If its a direct cause like Sinus, allergy, deviated nasal septum, you will need a hoilistic and healthy approach towards life but you will get a permanent cure.
If its a acute cause like stress, oily food, late sleep, late wake, viral fever, flu etc. get well soon and avoid the triggers, you will be fine.
If it is the second reason you will be fine soon. However if ur nose is blocked for no single reason (or even a weak immune) or its coz of sinus, allergy, you should start giving some attention.
Where the problem lies is most people drop out in between the routine. So get a routine that you will be able to follow atleast 300 days out of 365 days in a year. Atleast for 200 days in a year you should be able to follow the routine.
Check out my other answers, you will find the methods. Choose what suits you in the long run.
Dont think off it as its just a blocked nose or you got cured. Everyone has a health issue. You are lucky your body gave way just in the form of cold. For others they are healthy and fine until they discover something major with them.
So dont just neglect after you get cured maintain a healthy lifestyle. That is the ultimate aim. So don't feel why do i have to do all these routines and stop in between. Do not stop, as a matter of fact. Follow any health regime you want but have one. Make sure its atleast 10 mins a day.
Off late i also found something called Salt room therapy. While relaxing in one of treatment rooms, customers inhale the dry, salt-enriched air deep down into the lungs, where the healing benefits do their greatest healing. The salt loosens the mucus, which begins to clear quickly, and inflammation is reduced, which makes more room in the airways for you to breathe. Symptoms subside, sometimes for up to 12 months.
Dry salt air is more powerful than moist air. The negatively charged ions in salt improve our health and mood. Inhaling particles may reduce inflammation and mucus in the lungs, improving most respiratory conditions such as asthma, allergies, bronchitis, sinus congestion and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
See if you have it nearby or see if you can customize, like use a nebulizer at home. BUT MAKE SURE YOU KNOW HOW TO PREPARE THE RIGHT SALT WATER OR SALINE SOLUTION. PLUS ENSURE ITS HYGENIC AND YOU HAVE CONSULTED A DOCTOR WHILE CUSTOMIZING YOUR SALT ROOM THERAPY USING A NEBULIZER AT HOME.
