This is the problem, we are all obsessed with results. Remember if today i am typing something here on the internet its because someone, somewhere, someplace decided to invent electricity, phone, internet.
My parents decided to give me education, my fellow living beings allowed me to live a life till here. Isn’t it. In short its like this no one is irreplaceable, nothing is permanently right. If it was not Alexander someone else would have been there, if it was not Einstein, someone else would have been there, if it was not Gandhi, someone else would have come up. Think about it.
So dont make a big deal, compared to your city, state, country, planet, universe, we are just a spec.
World will still move on..So accept reality there will be always forces beyond our control. It is not to hurt but just to make you realize..its like would you make a big deal if you lost a dollar, if you lost a game. Its because here you realize where the dollar or simple game stands in your life.
But when it comes career, love, marriage, success, or even being right, charity and etc, we think it is very important. Yes, they are but we think we cant make wrong decisions or lose in these causes.
Its like this, what if suddenly, there was a world war and countries started throwing nukes. Game ends in just a matter of minutes. So what is the point, you made a right decision but whole world is about to collapse in a few minutes, what about your life etc.
Needless to say about the environment catastrophes waiting to happen, if not today surely at the current rate of pollution, we are going to suffer.
But anyways your question, it is still is very important in its own context.
If you make the right decision, you will be happy with joy.
If you make the wrong decision, you know to an extent what are the consequences and suffering you might face.
So make a move or decision if you are ready to face the unfavorable consequences or or else avoid making the decision.
Most importantly in your life or any challenging situation should excite you. If it scares you then, dont even bother being a part of it.
Listen to your instincts.
Its all about making your decision right, King Ashoka, King Alexander made right decisions, they won the wars but they in the end felt sad.
Alexander when he died, was cremated with his arms outstretched to convey that we cannot take anything when we die.
Ashoka after winning the Kalinga war just gave up everything, became a monk.
So its about your attitude as well. Have you seen the movie Life is Beautiful, you will know what i am saying.
So hope this helps. But again like everything in life, this might not work in all the contexts, because there always bigger things, you have to realise we are not the ultimate and there is absolutely nothing perfect.
Still not convinced, goto to the bottom of anything, you will realize its zero. Its nothing. Just try to know something fully, you will realize its nothing. Nothing matters…
If you keep winning also you will get bugged, if you keep losing also you will stop getting hurt..
