Have you gone through the nostril operation now or cured by yoga. What's your present situation. I'm very much worried for undergoing surgery.

No I dint go for surgery, I was almost so desperate to go for it but just dint take the plunge. Not that I am scared of these things. I have had a couple of other surgeries in my life and I am pretty okay with surgery if it is a must.

If you are still desperate and want immediate relief- Try Balloon Sinoplasty, read up on it. It is far better and painless compared to surgery. Just make sure you meet a good doctor who answers all your questions. Ask him about reoccurence, how severe is your case, and tell the doctor to be brutally honest if there are any side effects, risks involved and how is the feeling after surgery. After any surgery, trust me, you will feel a little miserable. So ask him, how it is in this case. So gauge for your condition and see if it is helpful. If the doctor is convinced and strongly says, don’t worry I can assure you, sinoplasty will help. Go ahead.

Honestly, I never had any hopes of improving my condition but I somehow wanted a foolproof solution for my problem. That’s how I discovered Nasya (Just read up on it) - usage of nasal drops to relieve nasal congestion. Try Sinol - (Brand - Kumar Ayurved Ashrama)Shadbindu Tel ( I use Baidyanath). Will need some practice and patience to ensure the oil drops flow through your nose and comes out of throat. This removes all congestion. Simple but little tricky. Now I use normal gingelly oil. I did this for two years. Once you get this technique right, this itself is enough. You just have to drop the oil in your nose and make it come out of throat and spit it or swallow. Blockage is gone. Also not to forget the other benefits of nasya. Read on it.

See these are age old techniques, in fact our ancestors used to do it daily basis. Health benefit is just one of plus points. There are just too many benefits associated with this simple practice.

Then started Pranayama - breathing exercise. I do Anilomvilom and Kapalbhati. That’s it. The best part is you can do this while travelling or when idle as well. But first learn about Pranayama and have a strong understanding about Pranayama. Don’t blindly jump into it and start step by step. It is a very powerful and simple yoga. My suggestion, ask a proper Yoga guru or join a class and then practice on your own.

Neti Pot - is too good for me. I just do Neti Pot and Nasya now. In 10 min I am a renewed person. My cold is gone, in fact I just got flu once in last two years now. Read up on Neti Pot as well and go ahead. If anything comment or. P.S me.

So read my other answers if your sinus is chronic or has been there for more than six months for a holistic solution.

Off late i also found something called Salt room therapy. While relaxing in one of treatment rooms, customers inhale the dry, salt-enriched air deep down into the lungs, where the healing benefits do their greatest healing. The salt loosens the mucus, which begins to clear quickly, and inflammation is reduced, which makes more room in the airways for you to breathe. Symptoms subside, sometimes for up to 12 months.

Dry salt air is more powerful than moist air. The negatively charged ions in salt improve our health and mood. Inhaling particles may reduce inflammation and mucus in the lungs, improving most respiratory conditions such as asthma, allergies, bronchitis, sinus congestion and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

See if you have it nearby or see if you can customize, like use a nebulizer at home. BUT MAKE SURE YOU KNOW HOW TO PREPARE THE RIGHT SALT WATER OR SALINE SOLUTION. PLUS ENSURE ITS HYGENIC AND YOU HAVE CONSULTED A DOCTOR WHILE CUSTOMIZING YOUR SALT ROOM THERAPY USING A NEBULIZER AT HOME.
