Can a UPSC aspirant achieve his dream in future after settling himself and his family according to family situation while working in other jobs?

See first you have to understand the motivation to be a UPSC aspirant.

If your reason is right, you will achieve it.

Even if you dont achieve something, if you put your effort, trust me you will not feel you lost.

You will find a way.

Hope you understand what i meant.

See its like this, you want to be a IAS officer to change the society. Trust me its not easy in India.

You know the type of people who become ministers and order IAS officers. Exceptions are there but most ministers, i have my doubts.

Its like your better off becoming a entrepreneur and become rich, become popular and you never know, win elections and become a minister who will order IAS officers.

Being a entrepreneur is far easier, all you need is a good friend or you yourself is enough.

In fact, even if you fail UPSC, the knowledge you would have gained is enough to teach and create 100 IAS officers.

If you do do become IAS officer but if you are not allowed to perform, what can you do?

So its about clarity, reason should be not red lights, social status or just your own ego massage. Even desire to be a UPSC is wrong.

Yes, its good to be a IAS but trust me its nothing if you have clarity.

Ask people who have quit IAS, i mean there are people for whom being IAS is the ultimate. But then every year people quit civil service.

Also truth is, there is atleast one IAS officer killed every year in India.

Do you know about IAS officer Ravi.

They say he committed suicide but the entire district of kolar in Karnataka went on strike alleging he was killed.

He was found hanging in his apartment, with his shirt tucked, hanging knot on right side, driver missing on his day of death.
Officer Manjunath was killed because he exposed petroleum-oil mafia who used to adulterate fuel.

Others include DM Mukesh Pandey, Satyendra Dubey, Narendra Kumar etc.

Occupational hazard is one thing but tell how many CEOs are allegedly dead under mysterious circumstances ever year.

While most IAS officers are transferred regularly.

I have seen them run from pillar to post for their salaries to get credited during transfer.

But then i have also seen IAS officers least bothered about these problems, they are somehow contributing to society by the power they have or by their own efforts, because their motivation to become IAS is beyond everything an IAS tag can offer them.

They contribute to IAS, they do not need IAS designation or power. They would have still done what they wanted.

In fact being entrepreneur or minister or local MLA is easy. Yoy just need to be excellant or at least an interesting orator who can people interested for at least 10 min.

Trust me practice public speaking, for few months or few years.

Imagine if you are able to speak in front of people without any fear and sway them your way.

I mean i feel becoming a public speaker is far easy or requires less effort and luck compared to preparation, luck and sheer hardwork to become a IAS.

So, like this have immense clarity.

As APJ Abdul Kalam, goal should not scare it should wake you up raring to go every morning. Simple as that.

Automatically you will manage everything. You will always have time for things you love.

No one in the world is so busy that they cant manage things. Its always about priorities.
